Fix for email newsletter extra table row gap in Gmail

Designing beautiful newsletter to show up perfectly in all mail clients is really a tough job for designers. Different email clients render html newsletter in different ways and for this sometimes things don’t show up as expected. In Gmail table cells with only images creates some gaps between rows which is not expected. To fix this we need to add css style to img tag ie. style=”display:block” – Now your email Newsletter will look ok in Gmail :)

This has been a huge problem for me (and i assume many email marketers) for a long time. I get emails from many big-time retailers who don’t know how to fix this either. So glad I came across this. Thanks much for the fix! It works!!
